okay, ive been watching Grey's pretty much since the beginning and lately ive been trying to get my head around the whole age thing of all the characters... i think im getting closer to some of their actual ages on the show so here i go...

Meredith Grey - I'd say she'd be about 28 or 29 years old [in her 2nd yr at seattle]... considering in a previous season conversation with her mother we've established that she took time off after college to figure out what she was going to do with her life so she was going to backpack of travel around europe but because her mother fell ill [with alzheimers] she had to return so we'd have to assume that she either started med school when she was 22 [graduating at 26] or she took that year off to care for her mother before putting her in a nursing home so she started med school at 23 and graduated at 27.
Cristina Yang - has a BA a MD and a PhD... so i'd say she'd be about 29-31 years old [in her 2nd year at seattle] considering she did 4 years of college, 4 years at med school and coz i dont know exactly how long a phd takes im guessing 2-4 years
Izzie Stevens - when lexie read her file it said that she spent 6 years in med school so she'd about 29 years old [in her 2nd yr at seattle]
George O'Malley - Dont know about george so im guessing somewhere about 27-28 years old
Alex Karev - same with george... not really sure so id same the same... [both in 2nd yr at Seattle]
Lexie Grey - finally someone whose age was actually stated on the show... when alex is telling her about his own alcoholic father (s4 ep) he tells her that he had to begin cleaning up after him when he was 7 and who cares if she had to wait til she was 24. so lexie is 24 years old and according to my calculations she mustve been a few years ahead at school [graduating high school at 16, college at 20 and med school at 24]
Miranda Bailey - in the s4 episode when theres the school bus crash and theres that markus dude.. well, when they bring him in they say that he's 34 years old so assuming they were in the same year in high school, miranda would also have to be 34 years old.

i have no idea about the others but i'm assuming that Derek Shepherd, Mark Sloane and Erica Hahn are all in their early 40's [maybe late late 30s]... Callie Torres must be the same age as Miranda Bailey because they both fought out for chief resident together... and i'm also assuming that Richard Webber is in his 50's.

Summary: Waiting in the rain isn’t fun
Author’s Notes: My first of many 100_Situations on Live Journal. I don’t own NCIS or any of its affiliates. My hat goes off to the creators of this show. Just one pre-story note, Kate doesn’t end up being killed, there is no Ziva and it’s a one-shot.

This is a 100_situations fanfic.

5.15 pm…. Outside the NCIS Building.

As Kate waited for Tony outside the NCIS building, in front of her car, it slowly started to rain.

“Great!” Kate muttered under her breath as she pulled her coat tightly around her body in an attempt to keep warm, before it started to pour.

FLASHBACK
5pm the same day….

Kate and Tony stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby, his arm firmly wrapped around her waist in a very protective matter. They had been dating for the past 6 months, ever since Ari nearly killed Kate.

Everyone at NCIS was making bets as to when he would pop the question as the sexual tension between the two had been obvious since Kate’s first day at NCIS over 2 years ago.

“Oh damn it, Kate; I left something in my desk!” Tony said as he broke their embrace and headed back towards the elevators.

“Why don’t I come with you?” Kate said, following Tony back towards the elevators.

“NO!” Tony practically yelled in shock turning around to see an unhappy look on Kate’s face. “I…uh…. I mean, you can’t because it’s a surprise… for you’re birthday next week!” he said quite pleased with himself as he gave her his trademark grin that made her go weak at the knees.

“Oooooo…. I like surprises!” Kate said, stepping closer to him as she wrapped her arms around his waist and looked up into his eyes.

“So, does that mean you’re going to wait outside?” Tony said casually as he placed his arms around her waist so their embrace was firm.

“Yea. I guess it does” Kate said, contemplating what the surprise could be as she said it.

“Okay then. I’ll go get it” Tony said, but before he left he pulled her closer and planted a sweet and simple kiss on her lips. They then broke there embrace and headed their separate ways. Tony back upstairs, and Kate outside, to wait by the car.

5.30 pm… Still outside the NCIS building.

Kate snapped out of her day dream with utter disgust at how cold and wet she was. At this stage it was now pouring. She decided that no surprise was worth waiting for out in the rain, so with that she got in her car and sped off just as Tony exited the building.

“The surprise will have to wait” The both of them muttered under their breath as Tony saw Kate’s car squeal past the front of the building and as Kate saw Tony exit the building as she drove past.

6pm…. Kate’s House.

Kate had arrived home over 20 minutes ago. She felt kind of guilty for leaving so suddenly, but she knew that leaving her standing outside to bear the elements was no way to treat a woman.

She had just stepped out of the bathroom, dressed in her pink and white checked flannelette pajamas when she heard someone knocking on her door.

“Who could that be?” She asked herself as she headed towards the door to see who was on the other side.

“Who is it?” She asked as she stood on her side of the door, listening intently for a reply.

“Kate, it’s me. I wanted to come by to apologise for leaving you out in the rain this afternoon. The surprise I wanted to give you wasn’t where I though I had put it. Please open the door. You know how much I hate talking through wood!” Tony said with pure sincerity, although she knew the last part was supposed to make her laugh.

“Okay” She said as she slowly opened the door to find Tony, getting down on bended knee.

“Oh, my god!” was all she could say.

“Katie, I’m so sorry for leaving you out in the rain today. It took me a little bit longer than I thought to find this. Turns out Abby hid it somewhere else. But that doesn’t matter now. Kate, will you marry me?” and with that Tony pulled out of his pocket a simple black velvet box, and when he opened it, he presented to her the most gorgeous diamond engagement ring that she had ever seen.

“Well?” Tony said, waiting in anticipation, hoping and praying to several religious gods that she would say yes.

“Yes” she let the word escape from her mouth as a solitary tear ran down her face.

Tony stood up and as he put the ring on her finger he whispered “I love you”

“I love you too!” Kate said as she gave him a slow and sensual kiss filled with love and happiness.

Tony then scooped Kate up and closed the door as he carried her towards the bedroom.

“It was definitely worth the wait” was the last thing Kate said before Tony began to kiss her once again.

okays. im really bored at the moment and im at school so i thought... hey, why not write on my lj. it gives me something to do to pass the time on this boring day!

im anxious for 3 reasons...
1. its nearly the weekend and i only have one more day of school left

*sigh* mondays.... not much fun. i hate getting out of the weekend fun and into the school mode.... its boring!!! geez... im ready for another vay-cay! (vacation = holidays)
anyways... i cant believe that george eads flirted with bloody lara bingle back stage at the logies! shes like 19 and he's like 39!!!! twice her age!!! gosh!
anyways... one of my bestest friends and fellow seat-filler-to-be celebrated her 17th bday yesterday so a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY out to you gorgeous. weve decided were gunna be put in the same nursing home when we get all old and grey and instead of gossiping about house or csi were gunnaa be gossiping about wheel of fortune and temptation. lol.
o, btw bday girl i have this whole plan figured out thats kinda nuts... i think ive been hanging around you way too long... but anyways ill tell yaz later. lol.
OMG! how LAME was it that last nights effing episode of csi is a stupid ...to be continued... i personally think its guna b the way that whats-her-face sofia leaves. but i dont no. i havent found out anything about whats going on... i couldnt believe the moustache on george eads' face! i felt so ashamed coz it looked so bad! im glad he does get rid of it! i luvd it when warrick yelled out 'hey moustache boy!' that was the funniest moment in the episode! i also loved eric szmanda and i thought he did a great job. he's my boi! *sigh* although he's like 13 or 14 years older than me, i luv him anyways!! i luved his sunnies in this ep. they were hot to trot!
any hoo.... i think it is time for me to say goodbye for today.... :) i have to get some homework done.... luvly huh!

its been a while.... and the logies

Hello to everyone out there. it sure has been a while since i have posted an entry but i have been extremely busy with school and holiday-ing. to all you aussies out there... how good was the logies last night? George Eads is the bomband i am SO glad that he came out to australia and presented an award. if i were kate ritchie (the girl who won the award) i would be stoked just to recieve the award from him, let alone actually win. im surprised they actually paired him up with that ditz, i have no clue who the hell she is. but i thought he was such the gentleman as he had his arm linked in with hers as they esorted each other out to present the award. i was annoyed that jessica rowe interviewed him on the red carpet.im surprised little miss giggles actually contained herself whilst interviewing him! i wish i was at the logies! even to stand on the red carpet and interview the stars or be a seat filler like they have at all the major US award shows would be ten times better!!! you and me brooke - seat fillers for the tables that have the casts of house, csi and ncis!!! i would be SO stunned!!! to sit at the same table as all my favourite actors and actresses such as Pauley Perrette (Abby Scuito, NCIS), Eric Szmanda (Greg Sanders, CSI) and Jennifer Morrison (Allison Cameron, House M.D.). *sigh* that would be awesome!! i wouldnt even want the money. just to sit at the same table as them would be worth it. as long as they dont act like snobs and are willing to pose for a few snapshots and sign a few autographs for me, that would be the sweetest reward.
OMG! when the gorgeous George Eads was sitting backstage being interviewed by Adam Hills from Spicks and Specks i laughed so much! Adam bought out a little flashllight that had a purple lens instead of clear so the light that came out was purple and started shining it all over George!! he pretended it was an ALS and as George had said he hadn't slept since he got to australia, adam was checking to see just how busy George actually was. Hilarious!!! then after that little moment, George grabs the "ALS" and starts shining it all over Adam Hills!!! Funny As!!! ive never laughed so hard during an awards show. although when judy dench was on the stage and got "presented" with a hot pink logie was pretty funny aswell coz she threw it across the stage! she had absolutely no idea what the hell she was doing there! it was so funny. like someone had knocked her out and then shipped her off over here and she regained conciousness in time to get on the red carpet. it was funny but very rude as she clearly had no respect for australia and our awards show. P!NK's performance was excellent! she performed Stupid Girls and i absolutely loved the live version! great stuff. she also looked really pretty. you could never call P!NK a stupid girl! well, i thoroughly enjoyed what i saw of the logies. unfortunately i missed out on seeing chris noth present an award. and at the moment i just saw an ad for wednesdays episod of House (the one where House and Stacy get it on) and Brooke, you would be so angry right now if you saw it, coz i know how you would react!! well, i have to go and do the blessed task called homework.
